Teeth bonding is a procedure where we apply a tooth-colored composite resin to a damaged tooth. This can be an effective way to fix a defect or imperfection within a tooth — such as decay, a cracked tooth, or discoloration. Dental bonding is a more affordable alternative for tooth repair when compared with other treatments such as crowns and veneers. We start by using a shade guide to choose a color that blends in best with your surrounding teeth. Next, we roughen the surface of the tooth, and then apply a liquid that allows the bonding agent to cement to the tooth. We’ll then mold the new bonding agent to best shape the tooth. Finally, we use an ultraviolet light to harden the material into place.
