What is Teeth Whitening?
Teeth whitening is a cosmetic dentistry procedure that can brighten the shine in your smile and make you look years younger. It’s a procedure we offer at our Cincinnati dentist office. A rubber shield is used to protect your gums from the whitening agent. Then we apply the whitening ointment in a custom made tray that looks like a mouthguard. The whitening agent contains hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide, which combines with oxygen to whiten your teeth.

Are You the Right Candidate?
We’ll be honest. Teeth whitening isn’t for everybody. It lightens existing tooth color, so the effects can be relative to the condition of your teeth. It also only works on natural teeth and not so effective on dental bridges, crowns, or implants.
