FAQ: Commonly asked Questions about Dental Care at BFSD
How often should I visit the dentist?
It is recommended to visit the dentist twice per year. Others who are at risk for developing dental disease may need to visit every three to four months. Dental care is a personal thing; since everyone has unique needs, our team formulates a personalized treatment plan just for you.
When should I start to bring my child to the dentist?
We recommend bringing your child to see the dentist before their first birthday. Kids start to develop teeth early – from 6 months to 1 year old. The sooner you start your kids on a regular dental care schedule with a family dentist near you, the better. Not only can we make sure their dental health starts out on the right foot and spot problems before they become big, but kids who have a long-term relationship with a family dentist tend to have less anxiety about dental cleanings. Just like adults, children should continue to visit the dentist at least twice per year.
Do you accept dental insurance?
We accept most forms of insurance and will work with you to ensure you get the most from your dental benefits. As a family dentist, we’ve a lot of experience with all the different insurance carriers, and know the best ways to help you take advantage of the coverage you deserve.
